At least 23 people were killed and nearly 120 others were injured following an explosion in Rawalpindi near Islamabad on Wednesday.
According to Pakistan officials, the incident took place in Sabzi Mandi area, fruit and vegetable market located on the border of the twin city Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
The officials further added that the casualties may rise as the market is known to be crowded in the mornings.
Hospital sources have reported that a number of the injured are critical condition.
